New Book Review Editor Appointed

Email Print PDF

NCGS Book Review Editor Rhonda Bridges Trueman has resigned due to an impending move to Florida. Rhonda has reviewed books for the Society since 2005 and served on the Board of Directors from 2006 through 2008. Her service is greatly appreciated, and we will miss her ready smile and willingness to help. She has made a valuable contribution to genealogy in North Carolina.

President Ann Basnight has appointed Carrie Henry as the new Book Review Editor. She will begin her duties starting with the August issue of the NCGS Journal.

Ms. Henry earned a B.A. in Anthropology at Georgia Southern University in 1999 and earned a M.A. in Public History at North Carolina State University in 2002. She has worked professionally as an archaeologist and historian for over eight years and has completed numerous cultural resources projects located throughout the southeastern U. S., including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. She currently serves as the Historian for Legacy Research Associates, Inc., a cultural resources management firm located in Durham, North Carolina, which specializes in archaeology, architectural surveys, national register evaluations, and impact assessments. Ms. Collins is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the North Carolina Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (NCAPG), North Carolina Genealogical Society (NCGS), and Preservation North Carolina (PNC).

Publications submitted for review should be mailed to:
