Our main focus is on North Carolina genealogy with some resources to neighboring states to North Carolina. We do not focus on European genealogy or the genealogy of other countries. We provide services in helping to conduct research by searches through newspapers and records that are within our collections and mailing information back to the patron. We also make copies both digital and paper of genealogies that people have completed or are willing to loan to us for copying with the condition that we are allowed to place a copy within our collection. Genealogies completed by others are the exception to the above as they will provide links, reference, and other materials to families located elsewhere outside of our primary focus. The Special Collections are open 2:00pm to 9:00pm Monday ; 9:00am to 6:00pm (or later) Tuesday through Thursday ; 9:00am to 6:00pm on Friday ; and the first and third Saturday of the month 9:00am to 6:00pm.
